- Shafi NambobiChief Executive OfficerShafi NambobiChief Executive OfficerMr. Nambobi is a microfinance expert with over 19 years’ experience in microfinance with strong leadership and institutional capacity building skills. He began his career as a Credit Officer (Promoter) in FINCA Uganda in 1997 before assuming positions of credit supervisor, branch manager and in 2001 becoming Regional Manager. Between 2002 and 2006, Mr. Nambobi was the deputy operations manager in charge of village banking and later Supervision, Policy Compliance and managing Special Projects. In April 2006, he moved to Uganda Finance Trust as the Chief Manager Operations, a position he held up to April 2009 before becoming the Chief Operating Officer for FINCA Malawi for two years. He then joined Tujijenge Tanzania under AMSCO Manager Secondment program as Managing Director/Board member from April 2011 until December 2015. He then joined Premier Credit Uganda as Chief Executive Officer/Board member before joining UGAFODE Microfinance Ltd (MDI) in May 2017 as Chief Executive Officer/Board member. Mr. Nambobi has a Bachelors’ degree in Public Administration specialized in Human Resource management and development, Masters in Microfinance, Diploma in Banking Management and PGD in Financial Management.

She began her career as a Credit Officer in Uganda Finance Trust Ltd in 2005 before assuming positions of Credit Supervisor and Branch Manager. In April 2010, she joined Equity Bank Uganda Ltd as a Business Growth and Development Manager and later joined FINCA Uganda Ltd as a Regional Manager in December 2012. She then joined Stanbic Bank Uganda Ltd as a Regional Manager in 2014 until 2018 where she shortly worked for ECOBANK Uganda Ltd as Head Public Sector before joining UGAFODE Microfinance Ltd as Head of Credit. Mercy has attained a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Makerere University, a PGD in Management and a Master’s degree in Management Studies from Uganda Management Institute. She is also an MBA associate with Edinburg Business School, Herriot Watt University.

He is at a completion stage (awaiting graduation) for the award of a Masters degree of Information Technology (Makerere University), he is also a holder of a Bsc Computer Science degree (Makerere University). He is also trained in project Management and Information Systems Security. Raymond’s career objective is to be a leading authority in the ICT industry in Uganda; by fully exploiting skills and expertise in a continued pursuit to raise the bar of ICT excellence. He has worked with ICT departments of several Banks and consulted for firms in Uganda and Rwanda. He has worked with Finance Trust bank as ICT Manager – Networks & Infrastructure, Vachii Communications Limited as an ICT solutions Implementation Manager, Barclays bank Uganda as a Network support Manager having started as an ICT officer in Tropical Bank.

Prior to joining UGAFODE Microfinance Ltd (MDI) in May 2017, Christine worked at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), EFC Microfinance Ltd (MDI) and the Microfinance Support Centre Ltd. Christine holds a Professional Diploma in Governance from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators UK, a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre Uganda and a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) Hons from Uganda Christian University. Christine is a member of Uganda Laws Society, East African Law Society, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators where she is both a member and a student.

Gerald has experience in Business growth and development, Credit & Financial analysis, Corporate Banking, Relationship management, Credit risk management, Performance Management, Strategic Business Planning, leadership, Stakeholder management among others.

He is the immediate Past President of The Institute of Internal Auditors Uganda and currently member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Internal Auditors Uganda. Member of the Local Government Audit Committee for Central Region - Government of the Republic of Uganda. Over six years heading the internal audit in financial institutions supervised by the Bank of Uganda, over eleven years in external audit working with firms of certified public accountants and over ten years in accounting.
