Adella Tukamuhebwa, a resident of Nansana with a shop in Kikuubo and goat rearing in Bukomero in Kiboga district, is grateful to UGAFODE for the loans that have enabled her to boost her business venturesI have been a client of UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) since 2019. At first, I used to trade in general merchandise in Nakasero Market and I would go to the UGAFODE Branch at Nakasero to exchange money. There I met several credit officers who explained to me the different loans they offered and how they could boost our business. I got an Agriculture Loan of sh10m in 2020 to boost our goat rearing and eucalyptus tree growing ventures in Bukomero in Kiboga district. After paying back the first loan, I got a second one of sh15m in 2021. The financial support I got from UGAFODE has boosted our agricultural ventures. In January 2020, we had 60 goats, but by April 2022, we had 350 goats. This was after we sold goats worth sh20m to buy five acres of land to expand our farm. We now grow eucalyptus on 150 acres.
